About Purchasing Paper Prints

More than any other substrate, the paper you choose for reproducing an image is a matter of personal taste. This is also true for how a print is framed and/or matted. There are literally many thousands of options. It gets very complex very fast.

So, I have made the decision, when it comes to paper prints, to provide fewer default options and allow you to make many of these decisions yourself.

There are two basic options:

1) Purchase a print and take it to your local trusted framing service to have it framed. There you can see the options laid out before you, giving you an opportunity to view them in person. These professional services can guide you through your selections. (Hint: Take along a photo of where you plan on displaying your photograph.)

2) Contact me and explain what your vision is for presenting your chosen artwork. Working together we can come up with the best solution for you. I would recommend visiting the websites of Bay Photo and WHCC (White House Custom Color) for ideas. These are the two professional printing services I use. There you will find a vast range of options to inspire your choices.

The papers I offer here have been curated from a very long list of possible Fine Art papers. I believe they offer a set of different surfaces from the best papers available.
