Above it All

I was driving uphill on a forest service road in hopes of getting a glimpse of Mt. Jefferson through the dense Douglas Fir forest. The midsection of the road was still nearly blocked by the debris of winter’s tree fall and some smaller snowdrifts. Just before the road became impassable I rose above the clouds and was treated to this view. Mt. Jefferson floating in all its grandeur above a silken stream of fast moving clouds. It was a moment.
