Spirits in the Sky

While driving home from visiting some friends on the east side of the Oregon Cascades, I pulled over and jumped out of the car when I saw this sky. I took a few off-the-cuff shots before the clouds, whipped by strong winds over the mountains, rapidly changed. A few weeks later I was quickly flipping through the raw images to see if there was anything I liked. When I first glanced at this photograph, I began to move on to the next photo. But my eye quickly swung back to it. I was drawn in. Over the next sixty seconds I fell in love with it.

There are so many etherial forms and shapes. The longer I looked, the more I saw. At first a line of spirits flying across the sky. Then so many human forms began to reveal themselves. This is a stare-able photograph.
