A Fleeting Moment in the Sand
I’m fascinated by all I see walking along a beach. Rocks, stones, shells and driftwood each with its own shape and coloring. Living plants and animals. The remains of creatures who died a million years ago and those have departed more recently.
In particular, I enjoy seeing the infinite patterns formed by the interaction between sand, water, and wind. Always fleeting. This is one of my favorite. There is so much to see in it. I find myself lingering over the image, finding new points of view.
Here, the beauty of everyday nature is expressed in a fleeting moment on a sandy beach. Patterns changing with every wave or gust of wind. The ethereal forms of trees and people blend into a background of finer textured sand.
