This photograph was taken as clouds streamed over the South Sister and Broken Top. I shot it at the same time as the limited edition version Spirits in the Sky. These 10,000 foot mountains give scale to these fantastic formations. The very high winds over these peaks are responsible for forming these etherial bodies, and will lead to their swift demise. The shapes changed so rapidly I only had a few moments to take photos before it all blurred together and settled down to a diffused cover over the mountains.
