Flowers Over Hells Canyon

Hells Canyon is an immense labyrinth of canyons, valleys, and plateaus. It is the deepest canyon in North America, dropping 7,993 feet from its high point to the Snake River below. A one and a half mile difference.

One morning, after waiting out several heavy downpours, I began exploring the carpet of wildflowers and grasses gracing the treeless summit of this small peak where I had spent the night.

I was charmed by the pastoral beauty of these wildflowers. This photograph has a feel-good vibe to it.
